That means the bulk of the players on ladder are there for the ‘whole game’. I can’t imagine they will have the player base after a few months that will try to actually rank on the ladder without resorting to bots to do it. Thus the thought that if they want to keep a short ladder they should release the runewords for all. If they keep it at a 3 or even 4 month ladder I will be very disappointed as I will not be making many toons each ladder season. Also as a HC player re-making my toons is a non-issue, I’ll do it no matter what. I have no hope of ranking on ladder, I play for the ‘full game’/runewords. Even then at 10 hours a day I could not rank on the ladder.
Oddly I’m still here posting too much, but my time in game will not be the 10 hours a day I used to play. I will not have the time I used to have to play the game. and i DO NOT want new RW’s /unqiues because of this, but im saying if they are added)ĪS has been noted too many times on here, the ladder only items along with a short ladder is the issue.
( and I’m not saying i trust blizzard to make new runewords or uniques i mostly certainly don’t.
Maybe if new runewords in patch 1.16 ( assuming release is 1.15) then the “new” ones can start out as ladder only for that one season… like diablo 3.īut after that allow us to actually make everything In diablo 2 it’s been over 17 years since 1.10 runewords were made.Īnd i STILL cant make my spirit or insight or infinity on nl.Īll i am asking for us “full access” to the game on single player and nonladder, so i can CHOOSE when i want to "start a new character on day 1 with everyone, and be able to actually play “solo” without the massive incentive to just trade over a jalals. There is no “option” to play non-ladder and/or single player even have full access to the game.Īnd yeah d3 didn’t get “full access” to everything in nl at the start of the season… but it DID give that access the next season. Ladder is supposed to be something that we play because we want to compete and rush to the top, or make a new character at the same time as everyone else.Īnd yeah that’s really fun, and i would still probably play ladder every 2-3 season if they made everything available in single player and nl.īut the point is… that should be OUR choice. We shouldn’t be “forced” to play something The ONLY reason i played ladder, and I’m willing to bet the ONLY reason a massive percentage of people played ladder… was because we were “forced” to I can say one thing… i NEVER wanted to play ladder…
Now as a person who always played ladder. with each new item introduced being ladder only for its first season and then always available nl ladder after that.īut in diablo 2… we have not only had some of the best and most useful runewords locked in ladder, but also locked out of single player. and one that ironically diablo 3 did well. The entire concept " ladder only" stuff was a terrible design.
